CKY is charging into a new era and they’ve just added a key piece to their powerhouse lineup: Mike Leon, the bassist known for his work with Soulfly, Cavalera, Havok, and The Absence, is officially a member of the band. The new formation made its electrifying debut this past weekend at Warped Tour.
“I’ve watched Mike grow up in this scene, from being a diehard CKY fan in the crowd, to carving out an incredible career of his own,” said CKY frontman Chad Ginsburg. “To see his journey come full circle and to finally share the stage with him is surreal, to say the least. Mike‘s passion, drive, and history with the band make this the perfect fit. Warped Tour was just the beginning, and I can’t wait for everyone to see what’s next!”
Leon added: “As a lifelong fan, it’s an unreal feeling sharing the stage with the very same guys who sparked my passion to play in a band. Their music and attitude inspired me to pick up the bass and hit the stage! I’m beyond excited to be a part of the future of CKY!”
The announcement comes at a pivotal moment. With live shows ramping up and whispers of new music on the horizon, CKY is clearly setting the stage for a fresh wave of momentum. Speaking of CKY live, they’ve got the following tour dates coming up.
