The Bernalillo Metropolitan Court is now reporting another inmate death. At approximately 1:01 p.m., on April 28, a medical emergency code was called regarding an inmate in medical distress. MDC personnel in coordination with UNM’s hospital medical team promptly responded and administered life-saving efforts. Julian Wilgress, 36, was pronounced deceased at 1:49 p.m. BCSO arrived at the scene to investigate. The official cause and manner of death will be determined by the New Mexico Office of the Medical Investigator.
