Luke Bryan‘s 50th birthday is coming up fast. The country music superstar turns the big 5-0 on July 17th.

Luke Bryan is planning a huge party for his 50th birthday. He tells Country Now that it’s going to be a “ginormous undertaking.”

“Very fun. It’s going to be a big party, it’s going to be a blowout. Got a lot of things going,” Bryan teases.

Bryan jokes that Blake Shelton is not invited, and he says he even turned the process of uninviting him into a prank. “I said this is a save the date, but I didn’t even put the date on there when I sent him the invitation,” the singer says.

Bryan and Shelton both have over 30 No. 1 songs on country radio and they both are turning 50 this year. Bryan takes a fun jab at Shelton at the end, saying “I wear 50 a lot better than him.”

Some important backstory here: Bryan and Shelton have been friends for decades now, and taking lighthearted shots at each other seems to be their love language. Even though they make jokes at each other’s expense, there’s no serious beef between these two.

Bryan jokes that there will be “fishing, there will be golfing, there will be climbing of trees, there will be coffee, there will be Advil, there will be IVs. There will be vitamin C, glutathione, there’s going to be golf. There’s going to be bungee jumping.”

Bryan is cheekily referring to his new song “Fish, Hunt, Golf Drink” that has been released that is getting some people fired up thinking it was written by A.I.
