A former child actor, known for his role in the movie “The Little Rascals,” is asking for help during a desperate time in his life.
Brandon “Bug” Hall, 41, said in a GoFundMe fundraiser that he has reached a point where he can no longer manage everything on his own after years of avoiding public requests for financial assistance.
“I have avoided doing one of these in all that time,” Hall said in the fundraiser description, noting he has been “self-cancelled” for six years.

The statement continued, saying, “We’ve made it onto the new land in record time, but I’m a few materials short of having things working right, and I’ve fallen a little behind on the few bills we have (phone, propane for the camper, and an unexpected electric hookup service fee). We’re all overjoyed to be where we are, and we’re even enjoying roughing it, but baby six is less than a month away, and I really need some help getting the last few things buttoned up beforehand.”
Hall said he hopes to finish the remaining projects over the next two weeks, ahead of their child’s arrival.
According to People Magazine, the fundraiser comes months after Hall made headlines for an arrest in Ohio. In April, the outlet said the actor had been charged with failing to appear in court for a December 2024 hearing related to an October 2024 traffic citation for not having liability insurance.
People Magazine said the actor stepped away from Hollywood in recent years, saying he told other media outlets that he had taken a “vow of poverty” and moved his family to an 80-acre property near Mountain View, Arkansas.
There, he said the soon-to-be family of eight planned to live off the grid and build their own home.
Hall rose to fame as Alfalfa in “The Little Rascals” and went on to appear in films including “The Big Green,” “Honey,” “We Shrunk Ourselves” and “Hercules.” He also had television roles in series including “Charmed,” “Cold Case” and “CSI: Miami.”
