The heavy metal legends Lamb Of God may have just elevated their legendary status by going out of their way to support over 140 independent record shops during the promotion of the band’s forthcoming record, into oblivion.
Out on March 13th, from March 13th to March 15th, across the United States select independent record shops will host listening parties for into oblivion where fans will have the opportunity to hear the record in all of its glory, but also possibly receive “free items including posters, wristbands, vinyl slipmats, and more” according to the national listening party’s own website. The 36 states involved in the campaign will also have access to a limited edition record variant.
Having announced the record in early January, anticipation has rapidly grown for the tenth record from Lamb Of God, and a tour is due to follow the release of into oblivion. Kicking off a mere four days after the release of the record – on Paddy’s Day, actually – the tour will start in Maryland and finish up in Massachusetts.
