It was another star-studded Tight Ends & Friends event in Nashville with Lainey Wilson closing out the week with a rocking performance that included a surprise guest: Taylor Swift.
Lainey Wilson and Taylor Swift Sing “Love Story”
The crowd went nuts when Wilson introduced her during her set. The country singer shared a quick story about visiting Nashville years ago for CMA Fest and seeing Swift perform at the Riverfront Stage.
“She was 16, I was 14 and there was like 30 people there,” she recounts. “Four of the people were me, my mama, my deddy and my sister.”
“And I knew, watching that day, that is was something really special and it has been so cool to see what she has done,” she adds.
The two proceeded to sing “Love Story” together, much to the crowd’s delight.
Are Lainey Wilson and Taylor Swift Friends?
While the extent of the two singers’ relationship isn’t known, Wilson did introduce Swift as “her friend.” They sure did look like pals singing with one another on that stage and it’s likely fans will be begging for a collaboration in the future.

Both women were also in attendance at the 2026 iHeartRadio Music Awards in March. The two posed for photos with Ella Langley that night.
Is Taylor Swift Coming Back to Country Music?
Swift has not announced what her next musical project will be, but there is speculation that she could be returning to her country music roots.
The pop singer crafted a country-leaning song called “I Knew It, I Knew You” for the new Toy Story 5 movie which has certainly gotten the rumor mill churning.

Sadly, singing “Love Story” with a country singer in Nashville isn’t the confirmation fans are looking for. She was a surprise guest at last year’s Tight Ends & Friends event too, singing “Shake It Off” with Kane Brown.
Tight Ends & Friends is curated by Swift’s fiancé Travis Kelce alongside a few other NFL players. The idea is to get the leagues tight ends together to practice, share thoughts and strategies, and create a community among those who play that position.
Swift and Kelce are rumored to be getting ready for their wedding which is expected to happen over Fourth of July weekend.
