Jordan Davis Wants to Shave Off His Beard One More Time

Date:

Jordan Davis might be best known for his singing and songwriting, having accumulated eight No. 1 songs on the Country Airplay chart. But in the realm of male country artists, he is also known for his exceptional beard game.

Davis came into country music with a thick, full beard, and fans have never seen him without it. Neither have his four children!

Could the singer ever see himself shaving off his trademark look? He says maybe. In fact, it seems like it’s not a matter of if — it’s a matter of when.

Will Jordan Davis Ever Shave His Beard?

I sat down with the “Turn This Truck Around” singer on Taste of Country Nights, where I asked him if he would ever shave his beard off.

Davis chuckled as he replied.

“I definitely think that I have one good offing of it. I think I’ve got one left.”

After getting seemingly shocked by his own answer and the thought of subtracting his beard from his look, he took a small step back.

“I don’t know, man. I like the beard,” he hedges. “I feel like I will terrify a lot of people, my family mostly, if I were to go completely like, shave with a razor. So, no time soon — but I definitely can see me getting rid of it at some point.”

They say that nothing is forever, and it seems like that is a true statement as far as Davis’ beard is concerned. He sure makes it sound like at some point, the day will come when we’ll get a look at his naked chin.

How Long Has Jordan Davis Had His Signature Beard?

From looking at pictures and past interviews with Davis, we’re thinking he started growing out his bearded masterpiece in 2012.

That would make the beard 14 years old: Two years away from getting its driver’s license.

He’s maintained varying lengths over the years, and there have been some major chops, but he’s never gone completely razor-happy. From our interview, it seems like he has gone clean-shaven before, but never since

The Dukes of Hazzard was more than just a popular TV show. It was a television phenomenon that launched several of its cast members into sex symbol status.

Decades after the show debuted in 1979, the cast members look very different today, but they’ve held up remarkably well.
