Jelly Roll Plans Free Rehab Center for Addiction Recovery

Date:

Jelly Roll is no stranger to struggle — and now, he’s turning his pain into purpose in the most powerful way yet.

In a new vlog, the country superstar shared his long-term vision for his sprawling Tennessee property.

His goal? To build a 100-acre rehabilitation and mental health campus — completely free of charge.

Imagine a place for people like us,” he says. “Poor kids, down bad, when life was kicking our a–… and now think about the resources we never had — we could change lives.”

Jelly Roll’s Vision

While riding four-wheelers and exploring his land with friends — including fellow recovery advocates Mike Majlak and Nick Nayersina — Jelly Roll pointed to a section of land beyond a creek, where he hopes to build the campus.

“You’ll have your traditional 28-day, 12-step-style program,” he explains. “But also intensive mental health therapy, holistic approaches… the works.”

This isn’t just about building a facility — Jelly Roll wants to create a transformational experience for people in their darkest moments.

He even plans to invite “guest weekenders” — people who’ve battled addiction themselves — to spend time on the ground with those in treatment.

“Not just guest speakers,” the “Save Me” singer adds. “People coming out, leaving their phones, and getting in the mud with the boys.”

From Inmate to Inspiration

It’s hard not to feel the emotion behind his words.

Once an incarcerated teen battling addiction, Jelly Roll (real name: Jason DeFord) has spent the last decade rewriting his story — with his daughter as his motivation.

Now a multi-platinum artist, a CMA winner, and a vocal advocate for at-risk youth, he’s committed to giving others the second chance he once needed. And this dream? Might be the biggest step yet.

A Bond Built Through Recovery

The idea came to life during a conversation with Mike Majlak — a content creator and author who’s also in long-term recovery after battling heroin and opioid addiction for years.

Majlak was visibly moved by the plan, saying: “I’m in. Whatever you need — I’m there.” For both men, it was more than just a dream session — it was a full-circle moment.

One Step at a Time — Toward a Big Change

There’s no official timeline for the campus just yet, but Jelly Roll made it clear: this is no pipe dream.
