NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – Holloman Air Force Base is inviting the community out for its Ace of Races and Community Connections Day on September 6.
The Ace of Races event includes a full marathon, half marathon, 5k run and a one mile kids dash. The course is a qualifier for the Boston Marathon and offers a unique run around the base, including on the flight line past fighter jests and drones. Anyone who wishes to participate in a run must register by Friday. To register to participate, click here.
Following the races, the base will host Community Connections Day, from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. The event includes static display of aircraft, live music, food activities for kids and more. Entry for Community Connections Day is free. For more information, click here.
