Just this past week, recent metal-champions Audiotree uploaded a brand new session with Swindon, UK-based metal quartet Heriot, who offered a crisp, dark, and full-force performance of four tracks alongside an interview with Audiotree host Jason Nitts.
Recorded in November of 2025 in Chicago, Illinois, Audiotree describes itself as a series that “showcases talented musicians and bands from around the world. Originally created to give young bands a platform to be seen and heard, the Audiotree Music Channel has become a cornerstone in the music world. The concept is to capture intimate performances from diverse artists in a professional studio at no cost to them.”
And Audiotree has been receiving quite a few nods from metalheads as the series’ booking manager – or whoever is in charge of performances – has noticeably favouring more and more metal artists (NOVELISTS, Currents, Pinkshift, SPITE, Arm’s Length; and that’s all within the last month), all artists making their mark on the scene in their own right.
So, Heriot seems like a perfect candidate for the sessions with their head-melting live performances and exploration of metal subgenres as Heriot have previously been hailed as the UK’s “essential emerging artist” because of their ability to include so many genres in one cohesive metal package. NME, Metal Hammer, Stereogum, Rock Sound, DORK, Stereoboard, Pitchfork, Kerrang!, Revolver, The Guardian, and more have praised the quartet for their debut release, Devoured By The Mouth Of Hell which received a deluxe edition this past February alongside a new track, “Master Of Deceit.”
Heriot have toured with bands along the likes of Trivium, Thy Art Is Murder, Lamb Of God, Architects, Kublai Khan TX, Converge, and many more, their live ensemble completely cohesive and instinctual for this band.
