ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. —
Yesterday’s winds brought in higher humidity, increasing a chance for thunderstorms later today. A heat advisory is in effect for several western New Mexico counties until 8 pm tonight; an areal flood watch is in effect for several south central counties until 12 am on Sunday. Ruidoso and Alamogordo are particularly affected by this flood watch. The heat will briefly back off today and build back up tomorrow and Monday. Albuquerque will likely hit 100° again one or more times next week. Stay hydrated and never leave people or pets in vehicles.
