Industrial trailblazers HEALTH have returned with R-TYPE II, a remix EP reimagining tracks from their latest album CONFLICT DLC and beyond. The release follows last month’s R-TYPE I and continues the band’s love for nods to classic video games – the EP title itself referencing the iconic 1987 shooter R-Type.
Bassist and programmer John Famiglietti shared his excitement for the project: “If RAT WARS is ELDEN RING and CONFLICT DLC is SHADOW OF THE ERDTREE, then R-TYPE has to be NIGHTREIGN. Enjoy these remixes and alternate versions by the best in the business: from the dance floor to the killing floor, these interesante interpretations will thrill and excite you and your family in the year of the FIRE HORSE!”
The six-track collection features a lineup of innovative remixers and collaborators alongside HEALTH, blending the band’s industrial intensity with electronic, dance, and synthwave sensibilities:
