Free drive-in movie featuring ‘Clueless’ at Balloon Fiesta Park
Albuquerque and Bernalillo County are hosting the next free drive-in movie at Balloon Fiesta Park featuring the 1995 movie ‘Clueless’
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. —
Families across Bernalillo County are invited to enjoy a free drive-in movie as part of the city of Albuquerque and Bernalillo County’s ongoing Seasons of Nonviolence initiative.
The event, scheduled for Wednesday, July 22, will feature a free outdoor screening of the 1995 comedy “Clueless” at the east parking lot of Balloon Fiesta Park. Gates open at 6 p.m., with the movie beginning at 8 p.m.
Attendees can watch the movie from inside their vehicles or bring lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy the film from a designated seating area near the screen.
Organizers will also have food trucks on-site throughout the evening. Guests who complete a survey during the event will receive a voucher that can be redeemed with any participating food truck.
Because the movie is being held outdoors, organizers noted that weather conditions could affect the start time or require the screening to be postponed. If the event is rescheduled due to weather, food trucks will still be available for attendees as planned.
City officials said the movie night is part of the broader Seasons of Nonviolence campaign, which offers youth and families a variety of free recreational activities throughout the summer. The initiative is intended to provide safe, positive opportunities that encourage community connections and keep young people engaged while school is out.
