Flash flood warning issued for Seven Cabins burn scar in East Central Lincoln County

The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a flash flood warning for the Seven Cabins burn scar in East Central Lincoln County in central New Mexico until 6:45 PM
Up to 0.5 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 1 to 2 inches in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
Excessive rainfall over the burn scar will impact Highway 246 as well as Forest Service Roads 56 and 616. This will also impact Las Tablas Creek and Arroyo Seco. The debris flow can consist of rock, mud, vegetation and other loose materials.
Flash flooding is this area is life threatening. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding in and around the Seven Cabins Burn Scar.
Some locations that will experience flash flooding include rural areas of East Central Lincoln County.
