Flooding reported near Ruidoso, village officials urge residents to move to higher ground

RUIDOSO, N.M.

A flash flood warning has been issued for parts of Lincoln County, including Ruidoso, through 4:00 p.m.

Village of Ruidoso officials said in an emergency alert that flash flooding was observed in the Cedar Creek area.

Village officials say those in the area should move to higher ground immediately and to be prepared to evacuate.

The National Weather Service says rainfall over burn scar areas could impact Upper Canyon, Brady Canyon, Cedar Creek, Eagle Creek, and Rio Ruidoso.
