Fans Are Split on Netflix’s ‘Little House on the Prairie’ Reboot

Date:

One of the most popular TV shows in the ’70s and ’80s was no doubt Little House on the Prairie, and Netflix has just dropped the trailer for its reboot, which is due in July.

Is There a Trailer for the Little House on the Prairie Reboot?

Yes. View the new Little House on the Prairie trailer below:

When Did Little House on the Prairie Originally Air?

Little House on the Prairie aired on NBC for 9 seasons from 1974 to 1983.

The beloved program was based on a series of books by Laura Ingalls Wilder.

The show provided high-quality programming that was safe for the entire family to sit down in front of the TV and watch together, so it soared to the top of the ratings and stayed there for years.

The original show looked pretty different from the reboot:

The question I have is, are the people who grew up watching Little House on the Prairie going to appreciate the reboot of a classic show, or are they going to hate that the characters and storylines are being updated, more than 40 years later?

Judging from the internet’s reaction to the newly dropped trailer, it’s quite possible for the ball to land on either side of the fence.

One fan writes, “FINALLYYYY!!! had been waiting for it for so LONGGG.”

Another comments, “As long as it sticks to the script I will be happy but I don’t want no AI stuff.”

Not All Fans Are Excited About the Little House on the Prairie Reboot

As with anything on the internet, there are people with differing opinions.

Someone says, “Nope. I never want anyone but the originals. Michael Landon and Karen Grassle forever.”

Another says, “If they can’t bother to make Mary blonde and include Carrie then that’s all I need to know.”

When Does the Little House on the Prairie Reboot Premiere?

There will be plenty of eyes on the reboot when it drops on July 9 on Netflix, but only time will tell if they enjoy it or not.
