Meantime, another purported ransom note demanding approximately $6 million in cryptocurrency was sent to TMZ on Wednesday. They graphically describe the consequences. They’re not paid. According to *** source familiar with the investigation, investigators still have no leading theory about *** motive in the case. It is never too late to do the right thing. In a new social media video posted Tuesday, Savannah Guthrie announced her family is now offering a $1 million reward in the search for her mother, Nancy Guthrie. “We need to know where she is, we need her to come home,” Savannah Guthrie said in the video.Nancy Guthrie, 84, was last seen at her home just outside Tucson on Jan. 31 and was reported missing the following day. Authorities believe she was kidnapped, abducted or otherwise taken against her will. Drops of her blood were found on the front porch, but authorities haven’t publicly revealed much evidence.Savannah Guthrie acknowledged that her mother may already be gone.“But we need to know where she is. We need her to come home. For that reason we are offering a family reward of up to $1 million for any information that leads us to her recovery,” she said.Despite the sheriff’s request for people not to search on their own, volunteers have continued to look. A small group reported finding a black backpack on Sunday, but it wasn’t the same brand as one identified in video surveillance that the FBI released of a masked person at Guthrie’s home the night she disappeared.This is a developing story.
