ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Historic Fairview Cemetery and the New Mexico Buffalo Soldiers Motorcycle Club are inviting the community to join them to help commemorate National Buffalo Soldiers Day.

Buffalo Soldiers were the earliest African American troops in the United States Army, and served on the western frontier post-Civil War. The community is invited to the Historic Fairview Cemetery at 10 a.m. for its third year commemorating National Buffalo Soldiers Day. The New Mexico Buffalo Soldiers Motorcycle Club, Albuquerque Chapter, will enter the cemetery in a precession to the ceremony area. They will also speak about their organization and the Buffalo Soldiers. There will also be a special guided tour of Buffalo Soldier graves at the cemetery. For more information, click here.
