Four days ago, it was announced that Ozzy Osbourne had passed away at the age of 76. Since that day, and that moment, tributes and memorials have poured out of every corner of the world – both physically and digitally. Hell, Google even has a little message saying, “Thanks for the mayhem, Prince of Darkness,” when you look up Ozzy Osbourne‘s name.
Osbourne was the founder of heavy metal, and none of this would exist without him.
So, bands have been paying tribute, both online and on stage, to the legend himself, with many of them writing heartfelt statements or performing Black Sabbath or Ozzy Osbourne covers. Because in Judas Priest frontman Rob Halford‘s words, “[Ozzy] would want us to be together, he would want us to be having a good time, which is what we’re doing right now.”
