Ella Langley Responds to Viral Post From German Tourist

Date:

With several World Cup matches taking place in the United States, fans from around the world are discovering parts of American culture they never knew existed — and sharing their reactions online.

One fan in particular, a German supporter named Freddy, has Americans completely charmed by his enthusiasm for some of the country’s most iconic staples, including Buc-ee’s, Waffle House, Walmart and … Ella Langley.

Freddy took to X and said, “The best discovery of our road trip has been a musician called Ella Langley. We had never heard of her before, but after hearing her on pretty much every country radio station, we’ve become big fans. She’s basically the soundtrack of our trip.”

That show is at the OKC Zoo Amphitheatre in Oklahoma City, so if you’re in attendance, don’t be surprised if Langley sends a message his way from the stage.

Freddy has had such an incredible trip through America that he may never want to return to Germany.

He’s been on quite the redneck roll lately, and Americans have embraced him as one of our own.

If Freddy gets the chance to meet Langley at the Oklahoma show on June 18, don’t be surprised if he shares the moment on X. Given the internet’s fascination with his journey so far, a photo with Langley would almost certainly send social media into a frenzy.

She’s continued to dominate with hits like “Weren’t For the Wind” and the crossover mega-hit “Choosin’ Texas,” becoming one of the most high profile acts in country music and a bonafide star even beyond the genre.

Keep reading for Taste of Country’s countdown of 15 Ella Langley songs that put her on the map, and then rewrote the rules of what traditional country sounds like — and how successful it can be even beyond the genre.
