GRIFFITH’S SECOND IS TAKING A FINAL BOW AFTER SERVING AS DRAKE UNIVERSITY’S MASCOT FOR SIX YEARS, HE IS NOW PASSING THE LEASH TO GRIFF THE THIRD. It’s graduation season, and one beloved graduate is going on to the next chapter: retirement!Live mascot Griff II walked the stage at Drake University’s commencement. Griff II is taking a final bow after serving as Drake University’s mascot for six years. Sister station KCCI reports that he’s now passing the leash to Griff III.Earlier this month, the school held its changing of the harness ceremony to celebrate Griff II’s retirement and welcome Griff III.
