Does Megan Moroney Warn Her Exes When She Writes a Song?

Date:

When it comes to country singers, life often imitates art.

And if you’re one of Megan Moroney’s exes, there’s a decent chance you’ve inspired a song.

But don’t expect a heads up — that’s not part of the deal.

The rising country superstar is gearing up to release her new single, “Beautiful Things,” on Friday (Oct. 24), and fans are already wondering if the song might be drawn from real-life relationships.

Spoiler alert: She’s not naming names. And she’s definitely not texting her exes.

NAH

In a recent interview with Today, Moroney admitted that while she gives friends and family a courtesy preview when they inspire a song, her ex-boyfriends don’t get that same luxury.

“I definitely—well, not everyone, actually,” she said.

Moroney continued: “But the people, like ‘Heaven By Noon,’ I let my aunt know, I called her. And ‘The Girls,’ obviously I showed my friends. They were in the lyric video teaser thing, so they knew.”

But when it comes to former flames? “I usually don’t give them heads up,” she said matter-of-factly.

And honestly — why should she?

They’re Blocked Anyway

In a sassy moment from a recent chat with CMT, the “Tennessee Orange” singer doubled down, confirming that even if her exes wanted to see what she was up to… they couldn’t.

“They’re all blocked,” Moroney said with a smirk. “They have no access to me.”

Her fans, however, get the VIP treatment. Unlike most rising stars, Moroney runs all of her social media accounts herself — and she says that’s by design.

“I just want it to feel very organic,” she explained to Today. “Like my fans could know me and be my friend. I see everything. I’m watching everyone. When my fans get engaged, I’m like, oh my God, congrats — invite me to the wedding.”

No Boys, No Timeline, No Apologies

As for where Moroney stands romantically? She told fans at a recent show that she’s not seeing anyone — and she’s more than okay with that.

I thought I’d literally be married and have children by the time I was 25,” she said. “I’m 27, and I’m not even dating anyone.”

Her advice? “Whatever timelines you have in your head — probably throw that out the window. Just try and enjoy life and find things that are fulfilling to you.”

With a booming career, new music on the way, and a fanbase hanging on every lyric, it’s safe to say Megan Moroney is doing just fine — with or without the boys.
