Disaster relief, legal services offered in Ruidoso

RUIDOSO, N.M. (KRQE) – A nonprofit law firm will help those in Ruidoso still recovering from the wildfires and flooding. New Mexico legal aid will be on hand for the Disaster Relief Services & Legal Fair on Saturday, September 6, from 10:00 a.m. to noon at the ENMU Ruidoso campus.

The event will offer legal assistance on several issues like landlord-tenant issues, denial of unemployment benefits, scams, and more. Help will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis.

Services include:

• FEMA/SBA Applications & Appeals
• Landlord-Tenant Issues
• Document Replacement
• Denial of unemployment benefits
• Real Property Title Clearing & Probate/Wills & Trusts
• FEMA/U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development Rent Subsidy Renewals
• Utility Shutoffs
• Insurance Scams & Claim Disputes
• Repair & Contractor Scams/Fraud
