Jason Aldean‘s new record Songs About Us dropped on Friday (April 24), and there is an Easter egg hiding in plain view in the first track, “Anytime Soon.”

Aldean was down in Athens, Ga. this weekend celebrating the release of his new record and playing a show in front of over 65,000 people at Sanford Stadium, with Luke Bryan as a co-headliner.

Before the big concert, Aldean told me that the first song on the record is a tip of the hat to country legend Ronnie Milsap.

Aldean also said that “Anytime Soon” felt like a fresh way to open his new album, explaining that  it didn’t sound like “any other album that we had done, started like that.”

Why Did Jason Aldean Open ‘Songs About Us’ With ‘Anytime Soon’?

Aldean noted that he and his team put a lot of thought into making this the first song on the new record.  “I thought it was a really cool intro and way to set up the record,” he adds.
