PHOENIX — A deadly crash has closed the southbound lanes of State Route 51 near Bethany Home Road, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

ADOT said all traffic must exit at Glendale Avenue.

Drivers should expect delays and avoid the area. 

The department said they do not know when the southbound lanes of SR 51 will reopen. The northbound lanes are not affected. 

No other details about the crash have been released.
