Former Megadeth bassist David Ellefson has announced his Bass Warrior European tour, set to run throughout March 2026, continuing what he describes as an annual celebration with fans across the continent.
The tour will feature Ellefson and his solo band performing select tracks from his four-decade career, including Megadeth classics, solo material, and influential hard rock and metal favorites. The centerpiece of the set, however, will be a full performance of Megadeth‘s 1992 landmark album Countdown To Extinction — a record that helped propel the band into mainstream metal dominance.
“‘Bass Warrior’ has become an annual celebration with my fans across Europe,” Ellefson said. “This year I’m really excited to be performing the Countdown To Extinction album in its entirety on the tour. It’s always been one of my favorite albums in my discography and I’m looking forward to celebrating those songs with my fans on the tour in March.”
Originally released at the height of Megadeth‘s commercial peak, Countdown To Extinction spawned enduring staples such as “Symphony Of Destruction,” “Sweating Bullets,” and “Foreclosure Of A Dream,” and remains one of the most influential metal albums of the ’90s. Direct support on all dates will come from MADO, rounding out a bill aimed squarely at longtime metal faithful.
