Rising country metal outfit Cody Parks and The Dirty South have officially signed with BLKIIBLK / Frontiers Music — and they’re wasting no time making noise. To mark the occasion, the band have dropped a brand new single, “Snake Shaker,” alongside an accompanying music video.
Frontman Cody Parks shared his excitement about joining the label’s roster: “I’m beyond excited and blessed to be a part of the BLKIIBLK / Frontiers family. The opportunity to work with industry veterans Jeff Stevenson, Tom Lipsky, and Bob Chiappardi was a no-brainer. Having a team aligned with my vision for Country Metal makes this the perfect home for my music.”
According to Frontiers A&R Tom Lipsky, the signing feels like a natural next step: “Cody has independently built a substantial following… it became obvious that 2026 is his year to break out. We are excited to bring his unique brand of ‘Country Metal’ to fans around the world.”
The new single “Snake Shaker” doubles down on that identity — a swaggering, riff-heavy cut that fuses Southern storytelling with full-throttle metal energy. As Parks puts it:
“‘Snake Shaker’ is a textbook example of our brand… I wanted to create heavy metal music that told stories about some of the more unusual — and sometimes unnerving — things people might encounter in the South.”
It’s the latest step in a rapid ascent for the Nashville-based band, who’ve been steadily carving out their own lane between honky-tonk grit and arena-sized metal. Their viral 2023 track “Thunder Cash ’69” — taken from Smothered & Covered — even cracked the iTunes Rock chart in multiple countries and hit No. 3 on Billboard’s Rock Digital Song Sales chart.
To keep the momentum rolling, Cody Parks and The Dirty South will hit the road this spring as direct support for Steel Panther on their Twenty Twenty $ex Tour, bringing their beer-soaked, riff-loaded spectacle to audiences across the country.
