The Albuquerque Isotopes have named Chrissy Baines as their new general manager for the 2026 season, making her the first female general manager in Albuquerque professional baseball history.Baines, who is entering her 24th season in baseball, has spent 22 years with the Isotopes, starting in 2004 as the director of merchandise. She has been learning from her predecessor, John Traub, who has held the position since 2003 and is now transitioning to an advisory role as the team’s president.Baines expressed her excitement about leading the team, saying, “We have a tremendous amount of tenure and experience that is, quite frankly, unheard of with many other teams. I trust this team. I value this team, and I learn from this team each and every day.
