Chris Young Safe After Scary Plane Incident

Date:

Chris Young experienced a terrifying close call while he was flying into Nashville to spend Father’s Day with his dad.

According to a social media post Young shared after the fact, the plane suffered brake failure, and it was only because of the quick-thinking pilot crew and the fire department assisting from the ground that the aircraft was able to land safely.

What Happened to Chris Young’s Plane?

Per Young’s statement, it seems like the plane was in flight when the crew discovered a problem with the brakes.

“Brake failure on the plane. Luckily had some amazing pilots,” the singer wrote. “Ended up landing safely.”

He shared his gratitude to all the experts who helped navigate a scary situation.

“Thank you Lord, the fire department and the men up front,” Young concluded.

He didn’t elaborate on the details of the landing, or share exactly what went wrong with the brake system that caused the emergency landing. According to Monroe Aerospace, planes use disc brakes similar to a car’s braking system as part of their landing gear, as well as wing spoilers that decrease speed during flight.

What Other Country Stars Have Experienced Scary Airplane Incidents?

Multiple other country stars have spoken about being involved in scary moments when something went wrong on an aircraft.
