On May 25, two children were abducted by a non-parental man in Missouri.According to officials, an Endangered Person Advisory was broadcast to law enforcement and reporters in Missouri for the children.A lead was then sent by the U.S. Marshal Service Western District of Missouri to the District of New Mexico to help locate the children and the alleged abductor, Ralph Jones Jr., who is wanted by the Nodaway County Sheriff’s Office in Missouri for kidnapping.Jones was said to have been traveling with three children in total, two of them having been abducted. A collaborative effort then began to locate and recover the two abducted minors.Jones was found and apprehended in the 700 block of Luna Dr in Chaparral, New Mexico. All three children were found safe. They were turned over to CYFD until arrangements can be made with Missouri authorities. Jones was transported and booked into the Dona Ana County Detention Center, where he awaits extradition to Missouri on the kidnapping charges.
