Emergency responders were dispatched to Brantley Lake on Sunday afternoon, July 26, following reports of a drowning involving a minor, according to the Eddy County Sheriff’s Office.
The incident was reported on Sunday afternoon. Multiple agencies assisted in the response.
Officials said there is no indication of foul play, and investigators have found no evidence that alcohol or drugs contributed to the incident. The death remains under investigation, which is standard procedure for unattended deaths.
