CASTRATOR Shares Video For Fiery Rendition Of EXODUS’ “Metal Command”

Date:

Castrator have dropped a new video for their version of “Metal Command,” delivering a hard-hitting tribute to the Exodus cut that helped shape thrash metal’s DNA. The track was captured live on the band’s latest U.S. headlining run and is featured on their newest album, Coronation of the Grotesque.

The clip links two eras of extreme music, blending fresh concert footage with archival scenes from thrash’s raw early years. Woven into the video is classic footage of Exodus performing “Metal Command,” taken from their 1985 VHS Combat Tour Live: The Ultimate Revenge. Filmed at Studio 54 in New York, it spotlights the Bonded by Blood lineup in full force.

The new performance material was shot by Felon DeGeneres // Hood5six, with extra footage provided by Sacra Victoria.

Castrator are not trying to replace or reinvent the original: they’re paying respect to it. Their rendition stands as a present-day salute to a genre-defining anthem, played with clear reverence for the band that wrote it.

The video was produced and edited by Carolina Perez.
