Body cam video released by the Edgewood Police Department showed officers responding to a call that the girl was found barefoot in the cold, which led to the arrest of Kent. After the child was taken to the police station, it was five hours before Kent came, and said she thought that the child was sleeping in her car seat. Following her arrest, the child was taken into custody by the state Children Youth and Families Department, the documents said.Kent was also charged with two counts of bringing contraband into places of imprisonment.
