While Carrie Underwood‘s garden is filled with plenty of healthy things, she recently encountered something deadly – a big black widow!
The country singer of course did what everyone red-blooded American would do. She took a photo of it and shared it on social media.
In the snap – posted to her Instagram stories – we see the jet black arachnid positioned in the web she looks to be in the middle of making, with its signature red hourglass marking in clear view.
It’s hard to tell exactly where Underwood found her, but we think she’ll be avoiding that neck of her garden for a bit.
“Do you see what I see?” she writes on the photo.

Underwood has become known for her lush and bountiful garden. She’s grown a plethora of fruits and vegetables to make delicious meals for her family. She even has a patch of loofa that’s she’s growing.

The fruits and vegetable areas on Underwood’s property are not immune to visitors, similar to the black widow above. She has encountered – and documented on social media – her experience with a huge colony of bees as well as the devil himself. Okay, not the actual devil, but close. She found a big ole rat snake in her blueberry bush.
It’s a regular Garden of Eden over there on Underwood’s 400-acre farm.

The country hitmaker has developed quite the farm in her neck of Tennessee. Underwood is also a farm mama with several chickens and a handful of sheep in residence. Her wooly friends are so cute, but she says one of them – named Gary – is actually a big bully and he likes to hog the other sheep’s food.
Earlier this summer, a lamb named Jamal was born on her farm. Look at this cutie!
