Carly Pearce will be letting fans get to know her on a deeper level with her fifth studio album, Honest Woman, which drops on Aug. 28.
After 10 years of doing music at this level, Pearce says some things haven’t changed… but some have.
She’s still a storyteller and songwriter first, and she takes being vulnerable with her music very seriously.
But this time around, she’s opening up more than ever before.

Pearce was a guest on Taste of Country Nights, where I asked her what’s the same and what’s different on her upcoming Honest Woman record.

Pearce said, “I think people are learning a lot more about me. My vulnerability is stretching outside of just relationships.”
That gives the new album a different feel from some of her previous projects. She is allowing fans to see more sides of who she is, while still leaning into the honest storytelling that has become such an important part of her music.
What Will Carly Pearce’s New Album Sound Like?
According to Pearce, there will be a noticeable difference in the sound of the album. She co-produced the project with her longtime friend Ben West, a collaboration she says brought something new out of her creatively.
Pearce said, “I just think he brought out something in me that really is sonically the best music that I’ve ever made.”
So while Carly Pearce is still doing what she’s always done, telling stories and putting her real emotions into her songs, her next album gives fans a bigger picture of the woman behind the music.
