Caregiver arrested for sexually assaulting elderly man in her care

A woman has been arrested after sexually assaulting a 77-year-old man living with dementia in her care.
Stephanie Paiz was a third-party caregiver hired from a private home company to work for the elderly patient at a senior living facility. She allegedly assaulted the victim in his bedroom.
Possible employees said they saw Paiz somehow lock the door to the victim’s room.
Security cameras inside the room captured the assault happening until staff rushed in to stop her.
According to the DA’s office, Paiz will stay behind bars until trial.
