BLACKBRAID Announces Nocturnal Womb EP, Streams New Single “Celestial Bloodlust”

Date:

Indigenous solo black metal project Blackbraid is set to release a surprise new EP, Nocturnal Womb, this Friday, March 6, independently worldwide. To celebrate, Blackbraid has teamed up with Black Metal Promotion to premiere the EP’s lead single, “Celestial Bloodlust,” alongside a high-energy performance video.

Shot by Moshmallows during a recent Stockholm show at Kollektivet Livet Bar & Scen, the clip captures the fervor of the ravenous Swedish crowd and the raw intensity of Blackbraid‘s live presence.

“‘Nocturnal Womb’ and ‘Celestial Bloodlust’ were the tracks too dark and visceral to fit the story of Blackbraid III. They exist on their own outside of the album trilogy via a standalone EP,” Blackbraid notes, offering fans a glimpse of this singular, unbound material.

The EP also features an acoustic instrumental rendition of “Barefoot Ghost Dance on Blood Soaked Soil,” providing a haunting counterpoint to the ferocity of the other tracks. Pre-orders are available here.
