ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Authorities have taken a suspect into custody, accused of five bank robberies between January 2024 and July 2025. Daniel Guliford, 38, was taken into custody earlier this week after the FBI says he is linked to the robberies through fingerprints and his vehicle.

According to a criminal complaint, the first robbery occurred at U.S. Bank on January 4, 2024. The complaint states a man wearing a black hoodie, black pants, black boots and a black mask entered the bank and directed employees and customers to lay on the floor and demanded money from the tellers. Authorities discovered a handwritten note taped to the door that employees stated was not placed by them. Fingerprints from the note and tape were determined to belong to Guliford.
According to the complaint, the suspect in the remaining robberies was wearing similar clothing and had a similar appearance. The complaint also notes how the robberies were carried out in a similar method. A black BMW registered to Guliford matched the description of a black BMW that was observed at multiple robbery sites.
