Arrest warrant out for Albuquerque mother accused of child abuse

Date:

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Police are looking for an Albuquerque mother, released from custody last week on a child abuse charge. Last weekend, APD found Jessica Crespin at a bus stop on 12th and Candelaria with her two-year-old daughter, who was only wearing a diaper in the rain.

Crespin admitted to police she took meth, and police found a boxcutter in her pocket. Police say she wanted to slit her toddler’s throat and wrists. They say the toddler had lacerations on her neck and lower leg.

Last week, a judge released Crespin from custody, but an arrest warrant has been issued after court documents state she violated her conditions of release.
