APD investigating death after overnight fire

The Albuquerque Police Department is currently investigating a death after an overnight fire that took place in North Valley. Police say that the individual was found dead around 10:30 a.m. behind a Smith’s store located at 6125 4th St., N.W. in the Village of Los Ranchos. Officers later learned that the Bernalillo County Fire Department had responded to the fire overnight. APD Homicide Unit investigators were called out to conduct an investigation.This story will be updated as more information becomes available.
