With new additions to the city’s network of bikeways and trails happening on a continuing basis, a new map of the more than 400 miles of paved and unpaved byways is now available to the public, a City of Albuquerque news release said.”Every year we add more trails and paths, and this map features all the newest lanes, paths, crossings, and even Rail Trail segments,” said Jennifer Turner, director of the city’s Department of Municipal Development. “Whether you’re commuting, going for a weekend ride, or just out exploring, the new map shows the best routes for all of us on two wheels.”Also included in the map are the locations of arroyos, trailheads, ART bus connections where bicycles can be loaded on a bus, and the 50-mile loop.To get one of the new maps, call 311 or go to the Esperanza Bicycle Safety Education Center, any of the city’s senior and multi-generational centers, libraries, and City Hall.More information is online at www.cabq.gov/parksandrecreation/recreation/bike/bike-map
