Albuquerque firefighters helped an uninjured hiker out of a drainage after they became lost about three miles up the Embudo trail

Firefighters rescued a stranded hiker in Albuquerque on Saturday who got stuck in a drainage in the Sandia Mountains.
The hiker reportedly got lost about 3 miles up the Embudo Trail after going off-trail and losing their way back.

Albuquerque Fire Rescue crews made contact about 2 hours after dispatch with the hiker, who was stuck in a drainage.
The hiker was uninjured but needed help getting out of the drainage and making the 40-minute trek back to the trailhead, where the hiker refused EMS care.
