A popular food truck park is moving up in the world.The ABQ Food Truck Park moved last Tuesday from Louisiana Boulevard and San Antonio Boulevard to a new home closer to the mountains, thus with a higher elevation, near Eubank Boulevard and Menaul Boulevard.So far, it has surpassed the expectations of the park’s owners, Alex Chavez and Xavier Quintero.”A lot of people have driven past this little lot for years, and it turns out this is the perfect opportunity,” Chavez said. “It’s the perfect space.”The vendors are happy so far, Chavez said, and there are aspects that are paying dividends.”We’re just getting started, and we have a lot of foot traffic in this area,” Chavez said. “It’s wide open so everyone can see, so it’s an attraction.””Plenty of parking, too,” said Quintero.Chavez and Quitero said they plan to have special events on weekends, including live music. Some food trucks will be operating from Tuesdays through Sundays.
