AB Foods Mulls Separation of Primark, Food Businesses

Associated British Foods is weighing a split of Primark and its food units, the latest big company to consider a breakup to narrow its focus.

The British group said Tuesday that the scale clothing retailer Primark has achieved and the need for a better understanding among investors of its food businesses led its board to review a potential split.
