Penta and Tiffany Stratton could challenge for a WWE championship at any time over the next 365 days after winning the men’s and women’s Money in the Bank ladder matches at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans on Saturday night.
Penta and Stratton each defeated five other competitors in six-person ladder matches to claim a briefcase suspended over the ring. The wins earn them a shot at any WWE title of their choosing at any time. Penta beat CM Punk, Trick Williams, Kevin Owens, Bron Breakker and Je’Von Evans. Stratton beat Roxanne Perez, Sol Ruca, Lash Legend, Lola Vice and Jacy Jayne.
Two championships were also on the line at Money in the Bank: Roman Reigns defended the World Heavyweight Championship against LA Knight, and Liv Morgan defeated Stephanie Vaquer and Becky Lynch in a triple-threat match for the Women’s World Championship.
Also on the card, Oba Femi defeated Bronson Reed in a singles match.
