TULSA, Okla. —
An Ella Langley concert scheduled to take place in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on Friday night was canceled due to a bomb threat.
Venue officials with the BOK Center announced the cancellation on Friday.
“Due to a serious security threat involving the safety of fans, venue personnel, and the artist, Ella Langley’s scheduled performance tonight at the BOK Center in Tulsa has been canceled,” officials said in a social media post, but information about the alleged threat was not released.
The “Choosin’ Texas” singer also posted about the last-minute cancellation on her Facebook page, saying that the threat involved “the safety of my fans, the venue staff, and my team.”

“This decision was made under the advisement of local authorities, the venue, and my security team. I know how much time, travel, money, and planning goes into coming to a show, and I can’t tell you how sorry I am,” Langley wrote on her Facebook page on Friday night. “This is not a decision that was made lightly. I was so looking forward to spending tonight with you, but your safety will always mean more to me than anything else. I refuse to put anyone in harm’s way.”
Venue officials said they would soon provide more information about ticket refunds. Additional details about the security threats were not immediately disclosed.
Tulsa police explained that they conducted a sweep of the building with their K-9 and bomb teams, along with BOK Center security, and found no evidence of danger. After a second call was made threatening the lives of attendees, they performed another sweep and again found no credible threat.
“We advised the group that was supposed to perform tonight that we did not find a credible threat, and we would never tell anybody if we couldn’t find a credible threat to cancel their event, so they made the decision to cancel their event tonight,” said Capt. R.G. Meulenberg of the Tulsa Police Department.
Fans who traveled to Tulsa for the concert expressed their disappointment. Addie Hobson and Reese Maley shared their frustration.
“I really wanted to go to the Zoo Amphitheater when she came a few months ago, and I missed that, so I was like, she’s coming again; this is my second chance, we’re going to go, so I splurged, I splurged! And bought them two months ago,” Hobson said.
It is not yet clear whether the concert will be rescheduled or if refunds will be issued.
