FEMA has sent over more than $141 million to New Mexico and four other states including Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Texas to help the states recover from disasters.

New Mexico received nearly $8 million for permanent repairs to the Vado Channel in Dona Ana County.

Storms and floods caused damages to roads and buildings last year and the money is expected to help communities repair damage, infrastructure, and prepare for future disasters.
