37-year-old cold case involving Navajo veteran solved

A 37-year-old cold case involving a Navajo veteran has now been solved.
Navajo Police say DNA technology played a big role here. The man has been identified as Timothy Lee Benally, a U.S. Navy Veteran from Rough Rock, Arizona.
They say that Benally was hit and killed by a train and flagstaff back in 1989; he was 32 years old at the time.
Navajo Police worked with Benally’s relatives to collect DNA samples, which provided a match.
