Hurricane Polo, a major hurricane off the coast of Mexico in the Pacific Ocean, is forecast to bring impacts to New Mexico.

The latest forecast from the National Hurricane Center shows Hurricane Polo could cross over New Mexico as a tropical depression on Wednesday.

New Mexico could see heavy rain and flash flooding as Hurricane Polo helps to draw monsoonal moisture back into the state as early as Monday.

Some parts of New Mexico could see several inches of rain as the storm tracks directly over southern New Mexico.
