First Responders busy with rain calls including arroyos and accidents
No injuries reported as a result of the rains in the Metro
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. —
About 5 p.m. Tuesday, a car drove into a home on Valley View in southwest Albuquerque. According to Albuquerque Fire Rescue, wet roads were to blame. There were no injuries.
An hour later, AFR received reports of someone trapped in the arroyo on Pennsylvania.
AFR said a second call followed regarding a male who had fallen into the arroyo on Morningside but managed to get himself out.
Another call brought AFR to the arroyo in the Four Hills area, where a vehicle with people inside was stuck.
“Crews [were] able to get all of the people out, safely,” AFR said.
Earlier in the day, in the North Valley, residents were picking up sandbags to protect their homes.
